Where do you attend school and what activities are you involved in?
I attended Loyola University in Chicago and got a BA in Film Production and minors in Theatre and Japanese Language & Culture. I participated heavily in the theatre and film departments, performing as well as behind the scenes production work. I had a work study job in the theatre department's costume shop.
What have your teaching opportunities been outside of Fairfax Collegiate?
I was involved with Kumon in 2022 and 2023, and I have worked as a substitute at Waples Mill Elementary School since January.
What subjects have you taught with Fairfax Collegiate in the past?
I've taught filmmaking courses with Fairfax Collegiate since 2022, as well as writing courses and meeting with students for one-on-one writing tutoring.
What sort of experience have you had in the subject you’ll be teaching this summer?
I have made multiple student and independent film projects, have been on professional film sets, and taken classes in Video Production, Editing, Production Design, Costume Design, Costume Construction, and Acting. I also built costumes as a Stitcher for Opera Theatre of St. Louis.
What excites you about teaching and working with students?
I love to see students utilize their knowledge and personality to create something. I think all students have artistic potential and the ability to express themselves in a variety of media.
Outside of work, what are some hobbies you enjoy?
I enjoy reading, writing, filmmaking, watching movies, acting, and skateboarding.
