Fairfax Collegiate has taught thousands of students over the last 30 years and delivers effective in-person test prep.
We've adapted to numerous changes to testing methodology, and the transition to the Digital SAT is no different.
Unlike the large national test prep companies, Fairfax Collegiate provides local in-person classes and excellent value.
Class time is evenly divided between the Reading and Writing and the Math sections of the SAT.
Students cover each topic on the SAT throughout the eight class sessions. For Reading and Writing, that includes Information and Ideas, Craft and Structure, Expression of Ideas, and Standard English Conventions. For math, that includes Algebra, Advanced Math, Problem-Solving and Data Analysis, and Geometry and Trigonometry.
Students take two practice tests outside of class to gauge their progress, and during class they complete practice problems to solidify their understanding of the different question types on the SAT.
Is your child taking the PSAT soon? Prepare for the October 2024 PSAT/NMSQT exam by taking an SAT course in August. The PSAT and the SAT have identical formats, are both provided digitally, and cover the same topics.
Families must purchase The Official Digital SAT Study Guide, published by the College Board, which is available on their website and at major retailers.
“My score has improved 80 points since my last test. I couldn’t have done it without your help! Thank you so much!”
Thank you! It seems my daughter got a lot from your class; she is also taking your next set of classes.”
Comprehensive two-week in-person courses are available in Summer 2025 at our Tysons location.
English is not my favorite, but the way that my instructor taught it allowed me to understand how to solve new types of problems. And even though I love math, I was able to learn harder concepts that I had forgotten about, so it was a good refresher.”
