I am student at University of Maryland - College Park. My major is Electrical Engineering, and I am on the Pre-Med track. During my freshman year, I was part of the GMU Nanoelectronics Lab and worked as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant in the Computer Science Department. I have always been passionate about STEM and, in high school, I competed in the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) and was named a Science Talent Search Scholar.
What have your teaching opportunities been outside of Fairfax Collegiate?I currently work as a substitute teacher for Loudoun County Schools and serve as the lead trainer and coordinator for my STEM program.
What sort of experience have you had in the subject you’ll be teaching this summer?I have been providing free STEM programs for low-income students since 2021 and have experience teaching various science topics using mobile robots, LEGO Mindstorms, and more. All of my past interests and research projects have focused on engineering and the sciences.
