Where do you attend school and what activities are you involved in?

I am currently attending Arizona State University, where I’m pursuing a double major in Professional Flight and Air Transportation Management. In high school, I participated in Model UN and DECA competitions, which allowed me to develop strong leadership and communication skills. In college, I’m actively enrolled in flight school, where I’m working toward earning my pilot licenses and certifications alongside my academic studies.

What have your teaching opportunities been outside of Fairfax Collegiate?

Outside of Fairfax Collegiate, I’ve tutored students in math, helping them build a stronger understanding of the subject through one-on-one support. I’ve also volunteered and taught at Conquest, a religious extracurricular program, where I led lessons and activities for younger students, helping them grow in both their faith and personal development.

What subjects have you taught with Fairfax Collegiate in the past?

I started working with Fairfax Collegiate as an Assistant Instructor in Summer 2024. I primarily taught math courses ranging from grades 6 to 9, and also taught SAT prep, helping students strengthen both their math and test-taking skills.

What sort of experience have you had in the subject you’ll be teaching this summer?

I’ve taken a Geographic Information Systems course focused on aerospace engineering, giving me experience with mapping, spatial data analysis, and industry software tools. In addition, I’ve completed multiple courses and independently studied aerospace mechanics and fundamentals, which has strengthened my understanding of the field. My experience in Model UN and DECA has also helped me develop strong public speaking, presentation, and improvisation skills through debates, simulations, and competitions.

What excites you about teaching and working with students?

I’m motivated by the opportunity to help students build confidence as they work through challenges and grasp new concepts. I enjoy finding ways to explain material that make it easier for them to understand, and it’s always rewarding to watch that moment when everything clicks. Knowing that I’m helping them develop skills they can use both academically and personally makes the experience even more meaningful.

Outside of work, what are some hobbies you enjoy?

Outside of work and school, I enjoy playing sports like basketball, football, and volleyball. I also like relaxing by watching TV, going on late-night drives, and trying out new restaurants with friends whenever I get the chance.
