Where do you attend school and what activities are you involved in?

I am currently a Biology/Music double major at William & Mary on a Pre-Med track. I also currently shadow a biochemistry lab on campus.

What have your teaching opportunities been outside of Fairfax Collegiate?

I have previous experience as a tutor for high school students, where I have assisted in preparing students for AP exams including AP Calculus AB/BC, AP Chemistry, AP Biology, and AP English Language & Composition.

What subjects have you taught with Fairfax Collegiate in the past?

This is my third year working with Fairfax Collegiate. I have taught a variety of subjects including Algebra, SAT Prep, Aerospace Engineering, Filmmaking, and Academic Writing at the Chantilly location and online.

What sort of experience have you had in the subject you’ll be teaching this summer?

As part of my Biology major, I have excelled in classes related to Cell Biology, Human Physiology, Microbiology, Ecology, General Chemistry I/II, and Organic Chemistry. In addition to these courses, I have also completed math courses up to Calculus II, and have completed numerous college level reading & writing seminar courses.

What excites you about teaching and working with students?

Having been a former student at Fairfax Collegiate, it is always a joy to give back to this organization and inspire the next generation of students who are excited about learning.

Outside of work, what are some hobbies you enjoy?

I enjoy performing piano and saxophone in numerous musical ensembles at William & Mary including the W&M Jazz Ensemble, The Wham Bam Big Band, and the theatre department’s pit orchestra. I am also the current Vice President of the W&M Salsa Club.
