Where do you attend school and what activities are you involved in?
I attend the College of William & Mary pursuing a double major in Biology and Music. In high school, I accumulated over 200 hours of volunteer work at local nursing homes, preschools, and church-related events.
What have your teaching opportunities been outside of Fairfax Collegiate?
During my junior and senior year of high school, I was chosen by faculty to tutor math, science, English, and history at Freedom High School's Academic Support Center. Throughout the past three years, I have also provided piano lessons to students in my local community.
What subjects have you taught with Fairfax Collegiate in the past?
I began working with Fairfax Collegiate last summer as a lead teaching assistant, aiding classrooms in the instruction of math, science, engineering, and academic writing.
What sort of experience have you had in the subject you’ll be teaching this summer?
I have taken math courses up to Calculus I and Calculus II in high school.
What excites you about teaching and working with students?
Having previously been a student at Fairfax Collegiate, I look forward to giving back to the community and fostering a positive learning experience for my own students.
Outside of work, what are some hobbies you enjoy?
I enjoy performing music (I play both saxophone and piano), playing card games, and spending time with family and friends.
