Where did you attend school?
I received my bachelor’s degree from the College of William & Mary, where I double majored in Psychology & Music. I am currently completing an Art Therapy Master’s Degree remotely.
Where do you teach outside of Fairfax Collegiate?
I taught art to middle schoolers at Wayside Charter Schools in Austin, Texas, and I was a long-term Kindergarten substitute at Annandale Terrace Elementary School in FCPS. I also have experience tutoring in several subjects, including SAT and ACT prep.
How long have you been with Fairfax Collegiate?
I started working as an instructor for Fairfax Collegiate when I was in college, in 2018. I primarily taught photography, writing, speech, and debate courses. Last year, I was the location director at the Reston NVHC location.
What excites you about teaching and working with students?
I love when students find ways to incorporate their unique interests and backgrounds into the learning experience! This is where the magic happens.
Outside of work, what are some hobbies you enjoy?
I like to engage in artistic activities, like magazine collaging, photography/videography, and painting. As a music lover, I spend a lot of time attending concerts as well!
