I am attending the University of Virginia, pursuing a double major in Computer Science and Mathematics. I serve as the Technology Chair for HooHacks, Virginia's largest collegiate hackathon, and I am also the webmaster for UVA's Club Running team.
What have your teaching opportunities been outside of Fairfax Collegiate? As Vice President of my high school's Computer Science Honor Society, I tutored students and developed educational labs for computer science courses in Fairfax County Public Schools.
What subjects have you taught with Fairfax Collegiate in the past?I began teaching at Fairfax Collegiate in Summer 2023, focusing on Computer Science and Mathematics.
What sort of experience have you had in the subject you’ll be teaching this summer?I have completed coursework in Data Structures, Computer Architecture, and Software Design Patterns. Outside the classroom, I work on personal projects including physics simulations, video games, and hardware emulators. I also participate annually in MIT’s Battlecode, a competitive AI programming competition, where my team placed 7th this year.
What excites you about teaching and working with students?I find it rewarding to help students understand new concepts and apply them in creative, hands-on ways. Teaching allows me to share my passion for computer science while fostering a supportive environment that encourages exploration and problem-solving.
Outside of work, what are some hobbies you enjoy?I enjoy playing guitar, lifting, playing video games, listening to music, and working on coding projects.
