Jeremy Stalcup
I graduated from George Mason University wjere I majored in Social Media Management and minored in Photography. I have had some of my pictures published in the school's and local newspapers.
What have your teaching opportunities been outside of Fairfax Collegiate?I was a Teaching Assistant in high school and have volunteered to tutor during high school and college.
What subjects have you taught with Fairfax Collegiate in the past?I began teaching with Fairfax Collegiate in 2016, and this is my 7th summer. I have taught most of the technical and programming related classes. I have written two different curricula. I also specialize in the film making courses.
What sort of experience have you had in the subject you’ll be teaching this summer?I took AP Computer Science in high school and have been learning and teaching programming for the last 10 years.
What excites you about teaching and working with students?I love getting to have fun with the students while we learn about different subjects. It is always a joy to get to meet students with a different background than mine and learn all about things I never would have gotten into myself.
Outside of work, what are some hobbies you enjoy?In my down time, I like to play video games with my friends. I also am preparing for my wedding next April which takes up a lot of my time!
