Where do you attend school and what activities are you involved in?
I am currently approaching my last year at Chantilly High School, and I am involved in many extracurriculars including FIRST Robotics, Science National Honor Society, and Technology Student Association. I am also the President of the ESOL Peer Tutoring Club and the Vice President of Research of Women in Science.
What have your teaching opportunities been outside of Fairfax Collegiate?
I tutored students in Algebra 1 at the FCPS Credit Recovery Academy through the organization BranchOut! during the summer following my sophomore year. I have also tutored in Biology and Chemistry and volunteered at various STEM events for elementary school kids through Science National Honor Society, TSA, and Robotics. Additionally, I have 25+ hours of experience tutoring ESOL students in English through the ESOL Peer Tutoring Club.
What sort of experience have you had in the subject you’ll be teaching this summer?
I have taken AP Calculus BC, STEM Engineering, and Honors Biology and Chemistry. I also have much experience working with CAD technology and 3D printing through taking the class Engineering Drawing and as a member of FIRST Robotics.
Outside of work, what are some hobbies you enjoy?
In my free time, I love to bake desserts, crochet, read fantasy novels, and play video games with friends.
