Where do you attend school and what activities are you involved in?

I am studying English and Environmental Studies at Denison University. I work as a consultant at the Denison Writing Center, am a teaching assistant at the Reynolds Young Writers Workshop, and I play the viola for Denison's Orchestra.

What have your teaching opportunities been outside of Fairfax Collegiate?

In high school, I was a tutor and board member of the TJHSST Writing Center.

What sort of experience have you had in the subject you’ll be teaching this summer?

I attended Young Writers Workshops at Denison University and Kenyon College. In high school I took AP Literature & Composition. In my first year at Denison I took Intro to Creative Writing and 20th Century Poetry. I have published my creative work in some literary journals and magazines.

What excites you about teaching and working with students?

I enjoy helping students on their path to become more effective writers, test-takers, and thinkers.

Outside of work, what are some hobbies you enjoy?

In my free time I birdwatch, backpack, and read. It's great that you can do all three at once.
