Where do you attend school and what activities are you involved in?

I am a rising Third-year student at the University of Virginia studying Economics and Statistics. At UVA I am involved as a Project Leader with one of our student consulting groups and have served as a Research Assistant in the Economics Department this past year. In high school, I was a National Merit Commended Student and president of Chantilly's DECA chapter.

What have your teaching opportunities been outside of Fairfax Collegiate?

I have been a Private Tutor since my freshman year of high school and have accumulated around 6 years worth of teaching experience.

What subjects have you taught with Fairfax Collegiate in the past?

I started working for Fairfax Collegiate in 2021 and have primarily taught math courses. I also have experience teaching English, programming, and science.

What sort of experience have you had in the subject you’ll be teaching this summer?

In high school, I took AP Calculus BC, and at UVA I have taken Multivariable Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Probability Theory. Many of my Economics and Statistics courses use math ideas from calculus and algebra so I can safely say I use math on a daily basis!

What excites you about teaching and working with students?

What excites me about teaching, is spreading my passion for learning with others and finding innovative ways to teach concepts in ways that they will stick. I enjoy helping students overcome their learning hurdles and hope to show that learning can be fun!

Outside of work, what are some hobbies you enjoy?

I enjoy going to the gym, hanging out with my friends and family, and watching UVA basketball.
