I'm a student at Washington College, majoring in economics and French, and I'm on the Dean's List. In high school I was a member of the National Honor Society.
What have your work opportunities with students been outside of Fairfax Collegiate?I have been a camp counselor for several years, eventually becoming the manager during one summer program. Many of these involved coaching students in soccer.
What sort of experience have you had in the subject you’ll be teaching this summer?I am a member of the Model UN team at my school, and one of my first-year seminar courses was a writing-based course. I’ve taken part in formal debates in high school for some classes, and I have been a member of a soccer team for my whole life, giving me extensive leadership experience and development of my public speaking skills.
What excites you about teaching and working with students? The thing that excites me the most about teaching is the learning I’ll do while passing on knowledge, and the thing that excites me most about working with students is getting them excited to be in class and have fun learning.
Outside of work, what are some hobbies you enjoy?I play a lot of soccer and really enjoy collecting vinyl records.
