I graduated from William & Mary in 2020 with a bachelor's in mathematics and Hispanic studies. I then completed my master's degree in secondary mathematics education there in 2021 as well.
What have your teaching opportunities been outside of Fairfax Collegiate?For the past 4 years I have been a high school math teacher in Virginia Beach Public Schools, mostly teaching Algebra 1 and AFDA. However, I am moving this summer and will begin teaching Geometry and Algebra 2 in Athens, Greece.
What subjects have you taught with Fairfax Collegiate in the past?This is my tenth year at Fairfax Collegiate after being a student myself when I was younger. It's impossible to imagine a summer for me without it!
What sort of experience have you had in the subject you’ll be teaching this summer?I have taught many classes at Fairfax Collegiate, including over 40 sections of various robotics courses and math classes.
What excites you about teaching and working with students?I love promoting the passion for learning in a student and making the classroom a safe, fun, and positive place for everyone to be!
Outside of work, what are some hobbies you enjoy?Outside of work, I love to play and watch soccer, cook, and go to the beach.
