Where have you attended school, and what activities were you involved in?

I am a two time graduate of The College of William & Mary. I hold a BBA in Marketing and a MAEd in curriculum and instruction in Elementary Education.

What has been your teaching experience outside of Fairfax Collegiate?

I have taught fourth grade in Loudoun County Public Schools for the past five school years. Prior to that I worked as a long term substitute teacher in Williamsburg, VA.

How long have you been with Fairfax Collegiate?

I have been working with Fairfax Collegiate since the summer of 2016. This is my fifth summer as a Location Director. Prior to becoming a location director I primarily taught courses in math, public speaking and writing.

What excites you about teaching and working with students?

My favorite thing about teaching is getting to support a child in doing something they never thought was possible. At Fairfax Collegiate I love stepping into classrooms and seeing how excited the kids are about their work.

What are you looking forward to as a location director?

I love getting to interact with families at drop off and pick up! I get to hear about all the exciting things their kids worked on that day and build a relationship with them.

Outside of work, what are some hobbies you enjoy?

Outside of work I am an avid runner. This past January I completed the Dopey Challenge at Disney world! Additionally, I run with a charity group called Ainsley's Angels that helps people in wheelchairs complete races.
