I'm a student at Cornell University majoring in Operations Research and Information Engineering with a minor in Business. I'm also a member of several clubs: Cornell Investments Club, Cornell University Autonomous Underwater Vehicles, and an undergraduate research lab. In high school, I worked with the Virginia School of Math and was part of the George Mason Aspiring Scientists Summer Internship Program.
What have your teaching opportunities been outside of Fairfax Collegiate?I have taught as a math teacher at the Virginia School of Math for a school year, helping students of all ages better understand the concepts they were learning in school.
What subjects have you taught with Fairfax Collegiate in the past?I worked as a lead Teacher's Assistant at Fairfax Collegiate's Chantilly and South Riding locations, helping as needed in several courses and subbing for a Writing for Middle School Class.
What sort of experience have you had in the subject you’ll be teaching this summer?I am teaching math this summer, and I have completed Multivariable Calculus and Linear Algebra so far in college.
What excites you about teaching and working with students?I love working with students because it allows me to challenge them in ways that spark growth and development. It's incredibly rewarding to see their progress, whether it’s understanding a difficult concept or gaining confidence in their abilities. Teaching is not just about transferring knowledge, but also about fostering a mindset of curiosity and resilience.
Outside of work, what are some hobbies you enjoy?Outside of work and school I love to stay active and play basketball, spikeball and pickleball. I also enjoy watching the the NBA (Go Nuggets) and travel to various National Parks and hike.
