Where do you attend school and what activities are you involved in?

I am pursuing an undergraduate computer science degree at the University of Virginia.

What have your teaching opportunities been outside of Fairfax Collegiate?

I’ve tutored students in math at Mathnasium and volunteered with United Sound, where I taught music to students with special needs. Both roles involved working one-on-one and in small groups to adapt lessons to different learning styles.

What sort of experience have you had in the subject you’ll be teaching this summer?

I’ve taken math through multivariable calculus and have completed AI projects using tools like Jupyter, VSCode, and Google Colab, working with models such as LSTM and BERT. I also have experience with data structures and algorithms, as well as development in virtual reality using the Meta Quest platform.

What excites you about teaching and working with students?

I enjoy breaking down complex ideas in a way that clicks for students. It’s rewarding to help them make progress and stay curious.

Outside of work, what are some hobbies you enjoy?

Outside of work and school, I enjoy biking and watching movies/shows.
