Where do you attend school and what activities are you involved in?
I attend Virginia Tech where my major is Computational Modeling and Data Analytics with a minor in Computer Science and Math. I am a part of CMDA Club, CS Careers, and Alpha Kappa Psi. I have also been on the Dean's List 3 times.
What have your teaching opportunities been outside of Fairfax Collegiate?
I coached 6-8th grade basketball during high school, while also volunteering at STEM camps at my local elementary school. I also have more than 50 volunteer hours at a local homeless shelter, Mobile Hope.
What subjects have you taught with Fairfax Collegiate in the past?
I taught last summer, and I taught programming and structural engineering classes.
What sort of experience have you had in the subject you’ll be teaching this summer?
I am a math minor, so I have taken Calculus 1 and 2, Linear Algebra, and Discrete Math. I have always taken advanced courses including in high school, and there is a lot of math involved with coding.
What excites you about teaching and working with students?
I had a great time working with the students last time, and I look forward to providing them with as much help as I can.
Outside of work, what are some hobbies you enjoy?
I enjoy playing basketball, playing video games, and traveling.
