Where do you attend school and what activities are you involved in?
I am a rising third year at the University of Virginia studying Urban and Environmental Planning and minoring in Data Science. Going into college, I applied with an IB Diploma and a 1510 SAT score from my high school.
What have your teaching opportunities been outside of Fairfax Collegiate?
I've been in involved in many tutoring organizations such as BranchOut, GIVE, and my high school's writing center.
What subjects have you taught with Fairfax Collegiate in the past?
I started working for Fairfax Collegiate last year, where I taught filmmaking and photography.
What sort of experience have you had in the subject you’ll be teaching this summer?
I'm teaching algebra and writing this year. For math, I've learned up to linear algebra, and regarding writing, my college curriculum and the IB Diploma track I took trained me to write efficiently and effectively.
What excites you about teaching and working with students?
Not only am I excited to work with my class, but I'm also excited to see what my class can teach me.
Outside of work, what are some hobbies you enjoy?
I like to listen to music, cook, and play the saxophone in my university's wind ensemble.
