Where do you attend school, and what what are you studying?
I attend New York University studying Economics and Public Policy!
What have your teaching opportunities been outside of Fairfax Collegiate?
In high school, I was an Algebra 2 HN/Regular Department Tutor for 3 years. I also was a summer intern and TA at a newly opened school, Think Play Learn - A Regional Montessori School.
What sort of experience have you had in the subject you’ll be teaching this summer?
For writing and research, I have published a narrative review research paper with Harvard Medical School. For debate and public speaking, in HS, I did public forum debate and DECA, as an international-level competitor and chapter VP of Hospitality. For math, in HS, I received credit for AP BC Calculus, AP Statistics, AP Micro/Macro Economics, and I am currently in Finance/Econ classes.
What excites you about teaching and working with students?
Taking Fairfax Collegiate's debate camp in middle school helped me build confidence in public speaking and meet some of my closest friends. Because of that experience, I’m excited to help students grow more confident in themselves and create the same kind of positive environment that I benefited from.
Outside of work, what are some hobbies you enjoy?
I love to hike, dance, and play beach volleyball!
