Where do you attend school and what activities are you involved in?

I am attending the University of Virginia, majoring in Computer Science and Cognitive Science. In high school, I earned the International Baccalaureate diploma which gave me a solid foundation in writing across all subjects, as well as tutoring at the Writing Center at my school.

What have your teaching opportunities been outside of Fairfax Collegiate?

In the past, I have worked as a camp counselor for a local camp, organizing things such as crafts and keeping the children safe.

What sort of experience have you had in the subject you’ll be teaching this summer?

I am a Computer Science major, and I have completed coursework in both Python and Java. Beyond tutoring at the writing center at my high school, the IB program equipped me with a set of tools that built organization, clarity, and precision in my writing. Lastly, I have an interest in chemistry/science, and have taken up through Organic Chemistry I at the college level.

What excites you about teaching and working with students?

I am excited to share my love for the different subjects with young students and hopefully to inspire that same enjoyment in them too.
