Austin Feng is a current undergraduate at the University of Chicago intending to major in Statistics and Economics. He also graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology. Austin has always had a passion for math and computer science, as well as teaching. He is a three-time USA Mathematical Olympiad or Junior Mathematical Olympiad qualifier. He has taught 6th grade math for one semester at Hope Chinese School Tysons Corner. He has also taught Go, an ancient board game with a high level of sophistication, to over 70 students throughout four years, including founding an online summer Go camp to help children whose other activities were canceled due to the pandemic do something productive over that timespan. Austin enjoys teaching a lot because it pleases him to watch students come to understand and appreciate subjects such as mathematics and to see the interesting patterns and problems that make them worth studying. Austin will be teaching Math and Computer Science this summer in his first year with Fairfax Collegiate.
