Where do you attend school and what activities are you involved in?
I am studying computer science at the University of Virginia. Outside of class, I am part of the club Project Code, where I get to collaborate with other students to build an application for visualizing stock options' prices. In high school, I explored my interest in math and other subjects by being a member of the National and Math Honor Societies and was an officer of the English and Spanish Honor Societies.
What have your teaching opportunities been outside of Fairfax Collegiate?
Besides Fairfax Collegiate, my teaching experience includes privately tutoring elementary and middle school students in all four core subjects. I also worked with kids aged 5-12 while I was a summer camp counselor at the Dulles South Rec Center.
What subjects have you taught with Fairfax Collegiate in the past?
This will be my second year with Fairfax Collegiate. I had a great time during my first year in Summer 2023, when I taught reading, writing, Algebra I, Geometry, and web design classes.
What sort of experience have you had in the subject you’ll be teaching this summer?
This summer, I will be teaching middle and high school level math courses. In high school, I took classes that covered all of these subjects and additionally took Multivariable Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Discrete Math.
