Where do you attend school and what activities are you involved in?

I am attending The Ohio State University and am an honors mechanical engineering student (with a mathematics minor). In high school I was a member of the math honor society and also volunteered with peer tutoring.

What have your teaching opportunities been outside of Fairfax Collegiate?

I have multiple years of experience as a math tutor and also a volunteer math advisor at Oakton High School. I am currently applying to be an undergraduate teaching assistant in engineering with the Ohio State Engineering Education Department.

What subjects have you taught with Fairfax Collegiate in the past?

I started working with Fairfax Collegiate in 2022 as a lead assistant instructor, and returned in 2023 as an instructor primarily teaching math and writing courses.

What sort of experience have you had in the subject you’ll be teaching this summer?

I have taken several college-level math courses including Calculus 3, Statistics, Linear Algebra, and Ordinary and Partial Differential Equations. I will also take a proof-writing class next year and Complex Variable Analysis.

What excites you about teaching and working with students?

I love sharing the areas of math and science I'm most interested in with young students, and I enjoy watching students grow and learn more as they spend more and more time in class working hard on topics.

Outside of work, what are some hobbies you enjoy?

I enjoy running, volleyball, playing poker, collecting textbooks, and working on personal programming projects in MATLAB and Simulink.
