Flight Simulators

Learn how to fly aircraft with a realistic simulator used by professional pilots.

Take to the skies and explore the exciting world of aviation with hands-on flight simulation. Students practice takeoffs, landings, and in-flight navigation while piloting virtual aircraft in realistic environments, using Microsoft Flight Simulator, flight stick controllers, and high-performance gaming PCs.

Lessons and activities include mastering flight maneuvers, recreating historic flights, and exploring global landmarks. After some initial practice, students can then choose to simulate challenging weather conditions, fly iconic aircraft, or navigate between famous airports, diving deeper into specific aspects of aviation and experimenting with different flight paths.

By the end of the course, students gain a basic understanding of flight mechanics and hands-on experience with flight simulation. They leave with a sense of accomplishment and enthusiasm for aviation.

Each student will use a gaming PC and a flight stick controller that Fairfax Collegiate provides.
