Rising Grades 5 to 6
Learn driving skills through realistic simulators, and explore automotive physics, engineering, professional racing leagues, and more.
This course offers students an introduction to all things automotive. In addition to daily lessons with both street driving and performance racing simulators, students will discuss a variety of topics related to common and advanced driving maneuvers, safety engineering, physics, basic auto maintenance, and competitive racing formats such as NASCAR and Formula 1.
As a final project, the class will assemble a model automotive engine.
Each student will use a gaming PC and racing wheel controller that Fairfax Collegiate provides.
