This class provides 5th and 6th grade students with an approachable, step-by-step coverage of probability & statistics. Even students who are not comfortable with probability and statistics will get plenty of practice time and guidance to improve.
Topics begin at the 5th grade level and progressively move into an 8th grade level. Topics include simple probability, stem-and-leaf plots, line plots, mean, median, mode, range, circle graphs, bar graphs, effect on mean when values in a data set change, experimental probabilities, theoretical probabilities, histograms, independent events, dependent events, box plots, scatter plots, lines of best fit, direct variation, inverse variation, and the coordinate plane.
