Intro to Algebra 5-6 Online

This class provides 5th and 6th grade students who are comfortable with grade-level content with an introduction to algebra topics. Students will be challenged to expand their conceptual thinking as topics begin at the 5th grade level and progressively move into an 8th grade level.

Topics include (but are not limited to) substitution, additive and multiplicative tabular relationships, graphical representations of linear equations, positive and negative slope, y-intercepts, translations, reflections, 1- and 2-step equations, and inequalities.

Requirements:

  • Students must have a device with a microphone and a camera
  • A device with a keyboard is recommended, but optional
  • Students must have access to a printer
  • Students must have a reliable internet connection
