This is Sean's fifth year working for Fairfax Collegiate, and it's been exciting for him to see the growth of the programs, and of the students! He has over a decade of teaching experience at the primary, secondary, and higher ed levels. He taught chess to elementary and middle school students in charter schools on the south side of Chicago when he was an undergraduate at the University of Chicago. He has tutored math, science, reading, and writing skills to high school students. He has also taught a number of 100, 200, and 300 level undergraduate courses in the English Department, both at George Mason University, where he received a Masters in Fine Arts in Poetry, and now at the University at Buffalo, where he is pursuing a PhD in English Literature. He considers himself a life-long learner and sees it as his goal to cultivate that curiosity and love for knowledge in his students.
