Where do you attend school and what activities are you involved in?
I attend William & Mary and am pursuing a BS in Biology with a minor in Chemistry.
What have your teaching opportunities been outside of Fairfax Collegiate?
I have previous experience as a volunteer virtual tutor in science and reading comprehension at the seventh-grade level. Additionally, I am a peer advisor at W&M, helping incoming students with the academic transition to college through email correspondence and feedback on summer assignments.
What sort of experience have you had in the subject you’ll be teaching this summer?
I have taken math classes up through Calculus and excelled. Additionally, as a biology major, I have taken both cellular biology and ecology courses, as well as organic chemistry.
What excites you about teaching and working with students?
I love the energy, creativity, and curiosity that kids have. It's infectious.
Outside of work, what are some hobbies you enjoy?
I am an avid fiction reader, love hiking and exploring nature, and I illustrate with oil pastels. At W&M I am a member of Alpha Phi Omega, a co-ed service fraternity. I volunteer at the Williamsburg, VA farmers market.
