Structural Engineering 3-4

Play the role of architects and engineers and design and construct buildings, towers, bridges, and dams.

Lessons center on multiple methods for supporting elements of structures, commonly used construction materials, safety testing, planning ahead for natural disasters, and examples of modern and ancient feats of civil engineering.

This course features a large number of hands-on student projects such as competitions to optimize the capacity and cost of bridges and towers, earthquake simulations, waterproofing a roof, building a dam, and constructing a hydraulic bridge.
