Shalisa graduated from Yale University in 2018 with a B.A. in English Literature and Psychology. More recently, she earned her M.A. from Harvard University in English Literature. She continues on at Harvard to receive her PhD in British literature of the long 19th century, with a specific focus on narratology, and the forms, techniques, and manifestations of consciousness in the novel.
Shalisa has taught creative writing as well as technical and critical wiring in the past, and enjoys working with students on all things literature related. She also taught with Fairfax Collegiate during her undergraduate years, teaching public speaking, debate, and test prep and looks forward to a return working with great students during a fun and enriching summer.
