Corey Beasley
Corey Beasley was born in Lynchburg, VA. He attended George Mason University, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in English, graduating with honors. After college, he lived and worked in Boston, MA, before moving back to Virginia to pursue his MFA in Creative Writing (Fiction) at GMU.
As an undergraduate, Corey taught a one-credit course for incoming Freshmen, designed to help with transitioning from high school to college. Currently a Teaching Assistant in his graduate program, he works as a tutor in the University Writing Center and will begin teaching English 101 in the fall.
In his spare time, he works on his writing, which—ironically—is also what he does with the rest of his time.
