Vehicle Engineering 5-6

What makes it go? In this mechanical engineering course, students step into the role of engineers of both land and water vehicles.

Topics such as learning about the components of cars and how they work, gearboxes, air resistance, and manufacturing techniques will get students up to speed on the principles of vehicle engineering.

Students will apply their knowledge to projects such as a model car race, a speedboat race, testing designs for brakes and tires, and crash testing. For a final project, students work in teams to assemble a working RC car from scratch.
